Jill McIntosh is a contemporary Scottish artist whose work is deeply rooted in the elemental beauty of Scotland’s landscapes and skies. Born in Falkirk, educated in Perth and Edinburgh, and now based in Perthshire, her artistic vision is driven by a lifelong fascination with the dramatic interplay of light, weather, sea and land found along the West Coast.

McIntosh’s signature style, which she refers to as weatherscapes, arises from an intuitive and dynamic process using acrylic paint and a range of tools, including palette knives, brushes and mixed media techniques. This approach enables her to capture fleeting atmospheric moods and the raw energy of wind, cloud and tide in richly textured works that evoke both movement and emotion.

Her paintings have been exhibited across Scotland and held in private collections internationally.
