Chris Sharp

Chris Sharp spent his formative years in Africa creating wildlife and landscape paintings before returning to Aberdeen, where he attended Robert Gordon’s School. He pursued his passion for graphic design at Aberdeen College of Commerce for two years before enrolling at Gray’s School of Art, where he studied sculpture and fine art for four years. Chris has been a professional artist since 1983.

Chris Sharp’s artwork showcases the stunning Scottish landscapes and its rich wildlife. He specialises in field sports and game fishing, particularly salmon fishing. His exceptional attention to detail, factual representation, and fine craftsmanship reflect his personal interest in his subjects – wildlife and landscape paintings. Chris is an avid fisherman and outdoors man.

The inspiration for Chris’s paintings stems from the Scottish Highlands, where the unique light conditions and colours, often influenced by the weather, create picturesque and atmospheric landscapes untouched by human intervention.

Chris’s artwork captures intimate moments between nature and the landscape, capturing wildlife and landscape, drawing the viewer in and immersing them in the scene. His work offers a glimpse into a private, fleeting moment that leaves a lasting impression.
