Nikki Monaghan

Nikki Monaghan is a professional artist working from her home studio in Falkirk, Central Scotland.

Nikki studied at the Scottish college of Textiles ( Heriot Watt University) and gained a BA Hons in printed textile design.
Focusing mainly on landscapes and her main influence being Scotland, Nikki finds inspiration from harbours, cities, villages, and towns.

Acrylics, inks, oil pastels and charcoal are applied in layers in her paintings to create a stylized, simplified depiction of her subject. Nikki loves colour and always in awe at the emotion it can create. Nikki wants to paint joyful scenes of places, where memories are relived, and connections are made.
