Dronma

Dronma, a Glasgow native, graduated from Laurel Bank and Glasgow School of Art in 1969. She later taught at Jordanhill College of Education before becoming the Art Director of Glasgow Arts Centre. While raising her family, she relocated to rural Stirlingshire. Until April 2008, Dronma worked part-time as a lecturer at Forth Valley College. Currently, she fully dedicates her time to painting and has served as the past president of the Glasgow Society of Women Artists. In 2007, the Scottish Amicable Award honoured her at the 125th Anniversary Exhibition.

Her expressive landscapes, known as “New Scottish Colourist” works, captivate discerning buyers of contemporary Scottish Art. Dronma’s art, exhibiting an inner light, often depicts wild and windswept sceneries. Her extensive exhibitions span the United Kingdom, and her art finds a home in private collections worldwide, including one in Delhi. In 2008, she participated in the Primavera Art Rotterdam and showcased her talent in Vienna. Dronma’s passion lies in capturing the dynamic interplay of light, color, and atmosphere, particularly during moments of change and transition.
